At 850 pounds of grain the IPA barely fits into our 15 barrel mash-tun, so it’s important to maintain a consistent ratio of water to grist when mashing in. Listening to music helps my rhythm and concentration.
I was already off to a slow start, after our Meet the Brewer beer night at Beer Revolution; and then tragedy struck, the music cut-off less than half-way through my task…my response? With paddle in hand I started to sing...Row Row Row your boat...and thought of all the people who would soon enjoy this tasty beer. Hand crafted, like momma used to make it, full of love. We hope to see you here soon sipping in the good vibrations.

It's Motorhead time again! We just finished up a couple of batches of our delicious Motorhead American Style Pale Ale. We brew this in conjunction with the West Coast Dream Machines exotic machine show that happens right here in Half Moon Bay every April. It's brewed with Centennial, Cascade, and Columbus hops that leave some nice citrus and pine notes balanced with a skillful use of Marris Otter, Crystal, and Munich malts for a clean hoppy finish - this one is not to be missed.
