Half Moon Bay Brewing Company, a beloved destination known for sustainable coastal cuisine, handcrafted beer, scenic outdoor firepits and live music since opening in the summer of 2000, celebrates its momentous 10th anniversary with a series of special “10 in 2010” events from July 1 to July 11, 2010.

 

Commemorating the occasion, Half Moon Bay Brewing Company is releasing a limited edition beer on tap and in the bottle, called Calebration Ale (pronounced “sail-ah-bration”), created by Brew Master Kirk Hillyard and available exclusively at the restaurant through the month of July. An English-style, golden pale ale, Calebration Ale has a crisp, floral aroma and smooth finish, and is brewed with Maris Otter malt and East Kent Goldings hops.

 

Tuesday, July 6

Giveaway
Guests dining at the restaurant will receive a signature Half Moon Bay Brewing Company complimentary bottle opener and key chain (while supplies last).

 

Wednesday, July 7

Dog Day Giveaway
Guests who bring their dog to enjoy a beverage or meal on the Brewing Company’s outdoor patio will receive a complimentary, signature Half Moon Bay Brewing Company dog bowl (while supplies last).

 

Thursday, July 8

Brewery Tours and Growler Giveaway
11:30 a.m., 1 p.m., 3 p.m., 5 p.m. and 6:30 p.m.
The process of making beer is demystified in special tours throughout the day led by Brew Master Kirk Hillyard, scheduled throughout the afternoon. Guests who take the tour will receive a complimentary Half Moon Bay Brewing Company refillable beer growler. (Limit 12 guests per tour. Friday, July 9

Blues and Chowder, 7 to 10 p.m.
Led by blues guitarist Daniel Castro, the popular Daniel Castro Band will again tear up the stage at the Brewing Company. Those dining at the restaurant will receive a complimentary cup of Chef Gaston Alfaro’s legendary clam chowder with the purchase of any food item.

 

Saturday, July 10

Live Music and Giveaway, 7 to 10 p.m.
Groove to the sound of blues harmonica legend Andy Santana. Guests who purchase food or beverage are invited to enter to win a special edition Half Moon Bay Brewing Company gift basket (valued at over $175).

 

Sunday, July 11

Live Music and Giveaway, 5 to 9 p.m.
Pamela Rose, the first musician to play at the Brewing Company, makes her triumphant return to close the “10 in 2010” festival with her signature voice that, according to music critic Ben Fong Torres, “turns jazz into her own brand of soul music.” Guests who purchase food or beverage are invited to enter to win an overnight stay for two, donated by Inn at Mavericks, the Coastside’s best-kept luxury getaway.
