September 15th-30th: Oktoberfest at the Brewco
In honor of the annual Oktoberfest in Munich, Germany, the Half Moon Bay Brewing Company is joining pubs across the world in a festive celebration of beer and food. Join us for Executive Chef Federico Godinez beer-friendly Oktoberfest menu reflecting the cuisine of Germany. Beer Bratwurst Pretzel made with grilled beer Bratwurst served on a house-made pretzel bun with house-made beer mustard and sauerkraut; and German-style Sausages featuring grilled, house made sausages basted in house beers; and classic German sides that can be selected with every entrée, including Potato Pancakes with fresh applesauce and sauerkraut.
October 1st-31st: Special Pumpkin Menu
Pairing perfectly with the Brewing Company’s renowned Pumpkin Harvest Ale and Mavericks Imperial Pumpkin Ale is Chef Godinez’ tribute to the orange gourd with his decadent Butternut Squash and Leek soup, Brussels Sprouts Salad with Pumpkin Vinaigrette and desserts including homemade Gingersnap Crust Butternut Squash Ricotta Cheesecake.
October 6th, 6:00: Harvest Pumpkin Dinner (at the Mavericks Event Center)
Four-course dinner with beer or house wine pairing with each course. $65 per person inclusive. Menu items include Sweet and Spicy Braised Cozzolino Farms Sugar Pumpkin and Arugula Salad with crispy pancetta bits and roasted green garlic vinaigrette, and Pan Roasted Wild King Salmon served with slow roasted spaghetti squash and local Swiss chard. Brewmaster James Costa’s hand-crafted Pumpkin Harvest Ale and Imperial Pumpkin Ale will be on the menu as well as a special fall addition: a cider tasting with the appetizer course from Reef Points Barrel aged Hard Cider, made from local apples. Farmers Tony and Stephanie Cozzolino will be in attendance and share some of their pumpkin growing and decorating ideas, as well as have some of their unusual squashes, pumpkins and gourds for discussion and purchase. October 24th, 1:00-5:00: 2nd Annual Coastside Brewfest
In celebration of the plethora of amazing breweries in the Bay Area and on the Coastside, the Half Moon Bay Brewing Company is hosting the second annual Coastside Brewfest in the expansive waterfront parking lot of the Half Moon Bay Brewing Company. Some of the best breweries of the Bay Area will be in attendance, offering tastes of their favorite brews including Mavericks, Hop Dogma, Cellermaker, Devil’s Canyon, Deschutes, Epidemic, Fieldwork, Fort Point, Green Flash, Magnolia, Marin, Moylans, Santa Clara Valley, Santa Cruz Ale Works, Sudwerk, and others. Full details here. Off the Grid food trucks offer guests the chance to purchase a wide variety of local specialties. The Half Moon Bay Brewing Company will also offer a special free tasting of sister company Mavericks Brewing’s Grey Water Tunnel Vision Ale, brewed with 100% NASA recycled grey water. In keeping with the Brewing Company’s ongoing philanthropic initiatives, a portion of the evening’s proceeds will be donated to Coastside Hope. Tickets are $30 in advance or $45 at the door.
October 31st: Happy Halloween
Live music from 7 to 10 p.m., and costume contest at 8 p.m. Bone Drivers, a Bay Area rock band that gets everyone out on the dance floor, will provide a fun and festive soundtrack to the annual Halloween party at the Half Moon Bay Brewing Company. Guests of all ages are welcome to enter the annual costume contest, which awards prizes for a variety of categories, including Most Original Costume, Best Group Costume and the Costume Most Likely to be Imitated Next Year.
