In 2000, a group of coastsiders opened a casual family restaurant on Pillar Point Harbor in Half Moon Bay, CA, and in 2003 opened the first operating brewery on the San Mateo Coast since 1873. Over the years, we’ve expanded and now have an event center, inn and mobile taproom. We invite you to experience all the Brewing Company has to offer at each of our unique locations.

SUSTAINABILITY / ENVIRONMENT
We were the first green-certified business on the San Mateo Coast, and continue to focus on and take pride in our environmentally-friendly policies like our low energy/water usage, recycling programs-including spent grain from the brewing process- and use of sustainable seafood. We were also the first brewery in California to brew a beer made from recycled water.
Through our philanthropic efforts, we’ve donated more than $750,000 in scholarships, charities, event sponsorships, gift certificates, services, products, and food. We are also proud of our beer sponsorships to many great local organizations. Each year, we give a minimum of $5,000 in scholarships to students from Half Moon Bay High School. Because of our numerous contributions, we have been honored for Outstanding Commitment to the Community by the National Restaurant Association.

Our patio is a dog-friendly hangout that welcomes your pooch outside. We’re proud to say that Bay Woof's Beast of the Bay Awards has named us Best Dog Friendly Restaurant in the SF Bay Area for five years running! (2012-2016).
