Happy 2016!

Welcome to the first installment of our blog for 2016. First, let’s do a little recap of 2015. The last half of 2015 saw some exciting changes for HMB Brewing Co. We welcomed Todd Emr to his new position of Brewer. We redesigned our bottle labels and added Full Swing IPA and Calf-eine Coffee Milk Stout to our year-round offerings of 22oz bottles. The brewery saw a huge increase in outside beer sales and our total barrelage output went from over 1000 bbls in 2014 to over 1700 bbls in 2015.

Big things are planned for 2016 with numerous SF Beer Week events at the end of January, including the release of our first Triple IPA and collaboration beers with Chuck Silva, The Brewing Network, and the Brewer’s Supply Group. We will be having fun events at the brewery all week, including the first ever brewery takeover with Hop Dogma coming into the bar to pour some of their great beer.

Finally, our sour program is in full swing (not the IPA kind)! We filled our first oak wine barrels with Magic Beer Genie Belgian Dark Ale back in November 2014. Now, 14 months later, we are preparing to bottle blend #001 of the Ocho Barril Sour Series. Look out for it in mid-February.
